Game Recap

The Panthers had an impressive victory against a strong Arbor View team. The Panthers struck within two minutes when a clever back heel from Presten Manthey released Bryan Montoya behind the full back. Montoya carried the ball into the penalty area and squared for Henry Robledo to finish from 6 yards. The Panthers then squandered a string of chances that could have seen them stretch the lead early in the game, as the Arbor Birw defense struggled with The Panthers passing and movement. Failure to score allowed Arbor View to rally, although goalkeeper Levi Lord did not have to make a meaningful save in the first half. Early in the second half The Panthers weathered Arbor View pressure before taking control of the game again. But once more The Panthers could not take their chances. The Arbor View goalkeeper saved well from Cole Lawrence, Mikey Vogel, and Manthey, and Tim Stephens had a shot blocked on the line and also hit the post. The Panthers were guilty of being over elaborate in the penalty box. Lord had to make three comfortable saves as Atbor View made a late push but The Panthers held out for an important win. GO PANTHERS!!
